A former member of Purdue University’s faculty, Andrea Nelson Trice holds a doctorate from the University of Michigan, and is an independent scholar.
However, her most valuable attributes for this project began to develop when she was a child living in the Peruvian rainforest – curiosity, a willingness to pause and listen to voices that are often muted, and a deep sensitivity to inequalities.
Using this mix of experiences, Trice has published research on power dynamics and empowerment for more than two decades.
She is currently a Senior Fellow of the Sagamore Institute, a Senior Associate of the Institute for Social Impact, and a consultant to nonprofits and social enterprises operating in the U.S. and across the Majority World.
Her book, Strong Together: Building Partnerships Across Cultures in an Age of Distrust is due for publication in July 2023 – for latest details, please click here.
